Wilson Snyder formed Snyder Consulting recognizing there is a need to provide high level professional management support to small and mid-sized businesses as evidenced by the relatively high failure rate they experience: by some estimates (Small Business Association) as high as 85% after the fifth year in business. He believes that his extensive finance, control and operating and processing experiences provide him with the insight to make a valuable contribution to any business owner. He can help the business owner realize his/her vision and become more profitable.

While there are numerous causes for this high "mortality rate" among small and mid-sized businesses, most can be attributed to a basic lack of management experience and discipline. The business entrepreneur has a lot of passion and energy for his/her product or service, but usually has not had practical experience in how to organize, direct and control the business. Unlike major corporations that have departments full of staff who can give advice to the CEO, the small business owner usually has no one to turn to. Snyder Consulting is qualified to fulfill that role and need.
